anybody here run one?? any thoughts?? I'm looking at replacing my Cleanco and I'm thrilled with my Legend XL
I'd be using it for residential and apartments (100-150ft hose runs) or should I go with another Legend?? |

Kohler is a hard engine to kill... the only aircooled engine with an internal oil spray. trust me stay with the legend.... I had a small problem with mine... bought the parts of 60 bucks as good as new... purrs like a kitten... 17 grand but worth it... why would you want to replace the cleanco ??? good unit too...I've been using cleanco all winter...man works great...now I know why people love PTO's so easy...

it's taking it's toll on the van and I've pretty much replaced everything that bolts onto the engine including the transmission so I guess I'm trying to avoid replacing it all again? I was working with it last week and it works fine other than the well any machine really and I'm getting to really like the idea of burning half the fuel |

Steamin.... the only thing I can say is lower rpm.... increase your vac relief valve....so you can get to turn down the rpm... a transmittion cooler and a full rad fan will help to prolong the life of the truck. using direct feed is also great...not so much load on the truck.... Cleanco can get hot...change the thermostat... go with something with a higher temp...200*f/205*f.... make sure there are no leaks... you'll get around 180*f at the wand... I was going to get rid of mine too...but its a great easy unit to use. I love it... what I really like about both units, is that I own them...no payments. I can imagine going back into any other payments. I was planning to build a unit this winter, buy I ended up just over hauling the units I have. a $50, 000 dollar truck on the drive way means nothing...clean clothes a shiney wand...and clean hoses is all the customer really sees. |

good points Steamer I do have a tranny cooler,that wasn't the problem,the guy who installed the machine had a big a$$ bolt rubbing against the transmission housing and it eventually cracked I do run a 205 thermostat and I DO have a kero afterburner if I wanna go mental on the heat I DO run it @ 1800 rpm under load with 14.5 hg's never really ever had a problem with the unit and I actually trust the van over all
and like you said it's dummy er I mean tech proof |

My brother is a cow boy... he rides that truck hard.... but it was nothing a little TLC couldn't fix... I agree with you when you say gas is a problem..... PTO's drink gas.....I know I save around 50% with my slide-in just on gas.

What rpm's are you guys running for ???? Residential carpet Commercial upholstery And your finishing up one room and have to prespray the next area do you leave your tm running as was or go out and have it idle until your done prespraying and moving furniture.???? |

Ok.. doug and steam, your tm is running full blast or let's say 2800-3000rpm's. You have a trashed LR,DR combo. you move some furn vac, prespray and agitate, dwell say it takes 10 min. or so to do this.. Why not idle your tm for that time? save's on gas and wear.
