I just hooked up with a property management company who has 600 buildings in and around Toronto.

Anybody here had a negative experience with a management co.? My main concern is getting paid in time. (30-45 days)

I have buds who do work for the Government and they have to wait 120 days...but it's big bucks.

Sometimes I find the bigger the company is the longer you have to wait for your $$$

Dash:  Once we did quite a bit for a management company and at the end they asked for WCB clearences, insurance etc. explaining that is their policy that you have all this paperwork in place.  We even ended up in court, They lost as we carry all our necessary insurances including WCB.  Just don't put all your eggs in one basket. You do not want them dictating how you run your business.  They want cheap and free.  Inquire about their payment and employment (sub contracting policies) before you start. You want a name of the person you are dealing with po# etc and autorizations the works.Guitar

You better splash & dash quickly on this one because in most cases the cash is a long way down the road. The bigger they are the longer it takes to get paid.

If you are planning on doing apartment hallways best you look at upright equipment, pad cleaning or encapsulation. Or you will burn out very quickly.
