What temperature should your water be for hot and humid days like today??? The hotter the water the long it takes to dry??? am I right or wrong???? Is cold water better for this time of year??? I can clean just as effectively with cold |

Mr. Steamer: We run the 405'S on muffler mode. They run hot about 215 and thats plenty. You don't have as much heat loss in the summer. But still hotter is better. You just think you do as good a job with cold water. But you use more chemical and work harder. Cold water? What the hell are you using HIDE in the wash cycle?

not because its better Douggie...just because it'll dry faster....think of all that humidity you put into the air when you are steamin.....It has to take longer to dry...don't ya think???

Steamer Generally I have always indicated that hot water evaporates much faster than cold water. Now if you are driving vapor into the air that is a different matter. This problem lies within the poor design and cheapness of wands being made. The closest to perfection would be a wand that has multiple jets that are enclosed within a chamber that would never allow the vapor to rise above the carpet.
I had one on the drawing board a few years ago that in my estimation would solve this problem and many more. Unfortunately the price climbed too high and expensive. Over the years has showed me that any wand over $500 in our industry no matter how good it is will gather dust in a showroom. You said it Steamer, our industry goes for cheap, cheap, cheap. My $250 wands sell fast. BUT ARE THEY ANY GOOD? |
