Doug, all of the rooms are in the same area. This is a very fusy man though, & the rooms are clean when we go in so he makes us go to the laundry facilities to get water for the porty. lol at least it is good & hot!
I am used to making about $65/hour. But I guess I should quit wineing cause he does want to do 10 rooms every month & all the halls 4 times a year.

I would not turn them down buffer just get the right price / room. If there is lots of rooms it could be a pretty sweet on going income.

Harvey I suggest air movers.... wick backs are a killer, because the lock up the room right after your done...no air flow... if you don't know what you are doing, house keeping will have you back for re-do's,

Hotels need to have it perfect, and when there are stains that can't come out, they get upset

Mr. Steamer:  If you are that damm good than you should have no problem Justifying why they should pay you more than the other not so good cleaner. Like I  said paper work to cya sometimes helps. If the Manager signs when they are done when you come back next week to do more work what can he say when you bring out the paper work?  Someone can spill the minute you leave and they rent the room.  thats not your problem.  Burt if they can intimidate you to reclean who does it benefit?Guitar

Ya definately air movers are the way to go. When we do 10 rooms we take 5 air movers. Do 5 rooms & place the air movers, when the next 5 rooms are done the first 5 are pretty much dry. But you are right , make sure you get all stains & gum out & let them inspect before you leave cause you are sure to go back to 1 or 2 rooms.

Jabs from my fellow CC's here... but in the real world of making money...thats what I do make money and get refferals for all the great work I do....   I never use to believe it..... They would rave and rave about my work... The difference between me and a lot of other CC's is that I clean from the heart, and I rather not do the job if I know it won't come out great..

getting back to the hotel rooms.... it's not worth to work for cheap, because a lot of headaches come with it... When I see a big commercial job come up and I know it might be problems I always price it very high

Steamer stop tripping over your self.

Is it not true that sometimes you have to do the jobs that are not so great because you know that they will lead to better job. Just inquiring.

nope......I don't play that... I was going to get a contract to clean halls in a big apartment building... the money was good, and if I did a good job I'd get all the condo's they owned in the GTA.... but man the place was hoofed/trashed there was no way I could get it cleaned properly..

I could see the problems ahead, the property manager told me they have never been happy with any cleaner so far..and heard I could do an excellent job...

so I passed

I look at a job this way....."IT'S NOT THE LAST JOB ON EARTH"

I'm not going to pick up someone else's problems just to make a few bucks
