The 180 water lift will give you approx 15% more suction but may burden you with an additional electrical cord.  Doug posted that he still has a Cleancare Mark 4 that is 30 years old with a 500Psi pump in it.

This Hypro cast iron pump is exactly the same 500Psi pump still being used in our Ninja's today, good strong and sturdy with an excellent reputation except it is very heavy to lift.

New Technology has allowed us to offer higher pressure pumps with approx 15lbs less weight. (The Cat 375psi) as much as Cat has an excellent name, personally has not been a favorite of ours due to problems we have had.

The  newer psi Pump Tech seems the better choice of the new millennium as it is compact and light in weight. Now if you are looking for higher than normal suction then purchase a 500 or 400 Psi Ninja and add a VAC Booster box to your portable and get 265 inches of water lift. This will also require Two cords. WOW!!!!!

This booster box was actually designed to allow Ninja to clean Ducts, but it sure boost drying time on carpets.

P.S. Stanley is talking about a Truck Mount Cat Pump and not a portable. I agree with him on TM pumps.

I still have a concern regarding indoor air.  The move vacs the more air the more polution and humidity.  What every you extract you exhaust to the interior unless with all this power you leave the machine on the deck or something.

Derek,

Please see picture of Vac Booster (Booster Box) below.

Booster Box

This is 2 X 2 stage vac motors that connect to a Ninja which now gives you 4 vac motors. 500 psi option &  two cords gives 260 inches of water lift. This was built to allow a Ninja to clean duct work. But many have had much success with carpet cleaning.
Wow how dry it is!
