I see from the post most of you don't like upholstery cleaning  but I don't mind so much is all part of the job and I usually make more money with upholstery then carpet.

You know I used to hate it but then I updated my hand tools.  I hate those spray into the vacuum tools.  They barely get the fabric wet and then you go over and over.  A spray in front of the tool is so much faster.  I also use a drape tool for after vacuum only it has holes instead of a slit to vacuum and leaves velours fluffy.  So now I have 5 hand tools and can use any I need to.  And now that Im in my 40's I like to sit down and work its a heck more relaxing.Smile
Sometimes you just have to go for it.

I love furniture cleaning these days.  It breaks the monotony of carpet cleaning.
I was looking at a small unit they sell at brushandclean.com, saw it at youtube.  Any experiences with that one?

I wanted to know if anyone has cleaned a "professional clean only" piece of furniture. I have a recliner that needs to be cleaned. I'm tempted to use our Bissel power steamer's upholstery attachment with either water or a water and vinegar solution. Any suggestions?

who said that carpet cleaning is easier than upholstery ..maybe a bit easier but when i need to clean white carpet so i know i need to work hard--
one tip i can add is - if you need to clean the carpet and upholstery furniture so first  start and steam the furniture with a good amount of detergent and then  wash the carpets- this action will help you get exellent result --
but i don't think their is any magic fast cleaning technic for upholstery furniture clean

Some upholstery can be quick and easy to clean. But fabric like microfiber etc are a right pain to clean!
Its important that also clean upholstery IMHO as alot of customers want thier carpets cleaned aswell as their sofa's cleaned at the same time. So your leaving money on the table if you dont provide upholstery cleaning services.

Love upholstery, no moving things, in one room only, only fill the machine once, more money, and I am pretty quick at it, I tell my customers I will give the sides and back a lick, and pay more attention to the soiled area.
I like how other cleaning shy away from them, just keep it guys

For a sofa love seat and chair I would charge around $ 180.00.

Furniture cleaning is fun and easy if you know what you are doing.

Job will be completed in less than 2 hours.

How many other professions are making $90.00 an hour today?
