I want to start a business and have been doing some research on some truckmounts. What is a good one? Is a Masterblend El Diablo good? What others are good? What is the difference between a kerosene or propane model?

Hi Alex,

A great place to start is by doing some research on google. There are two types of truckmounts; Direct Drive, which runs off of the vans engine and a slide in which slides into the van. Both have their positives and negatives and thats where your research comes in.

What is your budget? Where are you located?

A heat exchange truckmount will save you from using another source of fuel (diesel, kerosene or propane), but is more complicated and usually not as hot.  The heat exchangers that are as hot as other fuel are big bucks.

If you buy used, be careful and inspect it thoroughly. Every time I get my tm serviced, 90% of the other guys truck and tm's are just trashed. The service tech's tell me, they only take it in when there is a problem, and only want a bandaid and not fix what is really wrong.
