I know, the internet does suck. Maybe in 5-10 years more people will start to go online to look for things. Until then what is the best method in getting new clients?

I'm new, but I would like too put my 2 cents in. I have had great results with brochures. Well, actually it's not the brochure itself but what I say. I put out an educational type of brochure explaining the benefits I offer and the certifications I have.
I'm not saying that I am all that experienced or educated on carpet cleaning and I’m not here bragging. I'm just stating what I put on my brochures, so please no hating. I have since put out another brochure that was cute and fluffy. I also offered all kinds of deals. Well the second one did not have the same response. My opinion is that it seems that people like educational type of brochures instead of fluff. This is just my observation. Maybe next time I’ll use both. As for the internet, there is more to it than just setting up a website. You have to market your website. You can start by submitting your website to Google. This is free by the way. Also, I have submitted my website to free ads and similar sites. This is so that when someone types in a certain words or phrases; I have a better chance for a potential customer to find me on the internet. For example, if you type in "the firefighter carpet cleaner" I come up on the very first page at the very top. This is an ad that I submitted that directs potential customers to my site and then my phone number. I would like too say that if you are not utilizing the internet to your benefit, you are loosing customers |

Competitions, I own an online shop and a forum and I invest 10-20% of the money I earn in contests, the user who will bring more clients will get a good prize. (iPhone, mobile phone or similar)
Yeah, I try to make referral competition for my clients and ask them to post review on my site. If the visitors see many positive reviews the chances that they will buy something are higher. |
