I have about 300 sq ft of carpet that needs to be cleaned to remove pet stains and odor. I have a puppy that is completely house broken except for two places in the house, leading me to believe the dog that lived here prior to us had the same issue. Can anyone suggest a solution or chemical to deep clean this using a commercial sized extractor? I have one available through work.

(If anyone has any advice for solutions to use on a microfiber sofa using the same extractor, I'd appreciate that too!)

Thanks everyone!

Gasoline and a match comes to mind for this situation.

This site is just about purely worthless. I do want to thank you though for recommending Badboy. I will look into it.

To the rest of you morons that don't have any cleaning solution/chemicals to recommend, like my original post asked for, and just want to see your own opinions in print, take a hike and stop wasting people's time. Gasoline and a match? Really??? Pffff.

Ok so the gas and match idea was a little over the top. I was trying to convey the futility about what you are trying to do. I have done THOUSANDS of jobs like this. They never work unless you are prepared to replace all carpet, all pad and sand and seal the floor. Most people(unless they are selling the house) will NOT pay what that costs. They want a cheap solution instead. There isn't any. A new dog in the house will ALWAYS be able to find the urine left by the previous dog if this is not done. It will then mark it's territory by putting fresh urine down on those exact same spots.

If you do attempt to do this job without doing it right, don't guarantee the results. It will cost you alot more in time , effort and reputation if you do.

Wow. Pretty hostile. A simple suggestion of getting new carpets would have worked. As a new and first-time homeowner, I'm looking for suggestions and advice that experienced homeowners or professionals have to offer. Not people that give sarcastic BS or get ridiculed by misspelling, bad English, sneaker-freaks. Embarrassed

Again, thanks to those who gave the actual advice on chemicals I originally asked for, and for those that suggested getting new carpet without being a-holes about it. Clap

Hey , you are welcome. At lease you know where to come now when you are needing some abuse! I have known this for years and sometimes come here daily for an extra helping whenever I feel in the mood!
