Hi,

I was wondering if anyone out there can tell me if it's advisable to purchase a slide-in.  I am looking at a Prochem Apex to put in a 2007 GMC 2500.
I have a couple of trucks with direct drive and was thinking I might try something different.  The slide-in would be good for changing the unit to another van, but I understand some of these slide-ins have problems with belts, excessive heat, etc.
Its a 38K CAD purchase for the unit itself installed, so I want to be sure.

Any thoughts?

I like slide-ins because you can move them, but moving them is a huge pain. Belt and heating issues varies between machines, but once you have changed a belt or a coupler once you can do it again in 30 mins. No biggie.

I really like the Apex,,haven't heard about too many problems with them either

it's a pretty BIG machine

Belts have not been a problem on Pro Chem units for many years.
