you go over them side to side nicely with the vac hose to take out all the excess water.  <----------> both tops and risers

I tried the regular wand several times.  Results are fine and its much faster and easier on my back.

A regular wand is not a professional tool for steps IMO . It's like cleaning a couch with the floor wand
just to save time ..... changing tools is part of the job . laziness is no excuse for a customer to not receive professional service IMO. And I too agree steps are a PITA. I personally use a short wand with a glide until they invent a motorized one pass.
