Other than filters, tune ups, etc. any tricks that give you a little more bang for your buck?
I was listening to a guy on the radio the other day and one thing he suggested was to increase your tire pressure to 44 pounds. Sounded stupid, but I did it. Rougher ride, but the improvement in mileage was quite noticeable.

Go to ecomodder.com and gassavers.org. There's a lot you can do. Usual increase in efficiency is at leat 30%.

Yes, increasing the psi to the max listed on the sidewalls of your tires will help considerably, as well as coasting a lot.

If you know a genuine hypermiler, get him/her to drive with you and coach you. Otherwise, spend a lot of time at the ecomodder forum and let them into your head. Also, buy a ScanGuage. It will pay for itself in less than 6 months in most cases.

I saw that at autobloggreen a few days ago. The problem is that the alleged "energy generator" needs something to power it. They never say what that is. If it's batteries, then what powers the batteries that power the energy generator that powers the fuel cell? The answer must be that the batteries are recharged via an electric outlet. If so, why not simply run the car off the batteries?

Is it an automatic or a manual? What's your mileage?

I dream of your fuel prices Mr Slide
Average is $150-200/wk ($30-40/day) driving approx 400miles just for my 4 cyl Nissan Diesel truck and I don't drive 118 miles to & fro either, my work is on my doorstep!! Paying approx $7/USGallon for my diesel.Dead

At least my machine is converted to run on LPG gas which only costs $2.50/USG.

Why do you think I'm so keen on trying the Ethos FR??

I spend easily around 400-450 a week on fuel...

it takes $170 bucks to fill up and that usually last 2 days 4 to 5 calls a day.

Then you have the customers that want freebee's  lol
