Just wondring what type of machine chem dry use...
I use a bonnet machine at the moment, but am looking for something with a bit more power, something that uses hot water, to get the real worn carpet clean, something that is portable, and something that will dry in a couple of hours... any ideas guys an gals?? Bub |

Wouldn't matter. Unless you are a franchisee, you can't use their stuff.

Yep.
Get a 360 machine. It will do all that, especially the residential stuff. |

Thanks Ken.
I looked at it, but there was mention that it may not be sutible for some commercial carpets, and the dry time is extensive...any thoughts Brian |

Very low pile commercial carpets are still best done with a glided RX20 IMO. But Rotovac is working on a commercial 360 now. I would wait for that if you can. If not, and the majority of your work is commercial, go with the RX20, with my glides on it. It really works well.

A friend of mine has a ChemDry franchise. I believe he has a modified Hydramaster 427 truckmount. ChemDry's been using RX-20's for years. Their portables look like a Mytee. Most of their equipment is open market stuff with proprietary changes.

At the moment I operate a carpet cleaning business, and run with the bonett method...
I am thinking of going with a rotary drymaster, or a roto vac but realise that this is a completly different animal, so I was hoping you could answer some questions... what length hose do you guys use, are you able to clean all houses, big and small. Do you carry the water on board, how much do you need, what is the set up, and how do you handle the dirty water? Does it really dry as quickley as they say?How long on average, for a lightly soiled room? Does it clean as well as they say, any examples of its quality? Have any of you used it with a portable extractor?Which one? For those who use a truck mount, which one?Rate it 1-10 Have any of you used a different product, how do they compare? Any pros and cons>?? Any other advice... thanks guys an gals ![]() |
