NR  Some may be in the carpet cleaning business, not me we are the People Pleasing Business, we just happen to accomplish that by cleaning their carpets above their expectations!

NR don't speak for everyone..just because you hire the cheapest guy everytime.

Don't get doing it yourself confused with hiring the cheapest tradesman.

Trust me when I say it's never about price.  My wife worked in the Head office for Marriott Canada if it was about price I would have gotten the job to clean all the Marriotts in the GTA. But it's not about price it's about reputation.  They clean with Servicemaster all throughout Canada and the United States They just believe in them and are more than willing to pay 50% more.

My uncle is a major contractor for the University of Toronto..  they have a million sq ft of carpet in over 200 buildings to clean.  Again servicemaster cleans them all once every 4 years.  They do it with 10 guys and portables...I've seen them myself....I put my bid in through my uncles firm and still I couldn't get the work...and trust me I was waaaaaaaaay cheaper.  They just believe in servicemaster.

Your rep is very important... it's never about price...

so keep on spewing your bullsh*t NR....I've lived it first hand.

It's who you know...
it's your rep...

mom and pop operations like what NR runs will always go for the cheapest guy.

any good contract worth getting out there, wants the best company to do the work REGARDLESS OF THE PRICE!!

Ted told me it would of cost 6 to 8 THOUSAND dollars to re install my PTO unit....  I did it for FREE!  thats not cheap thats f**ken smart!  Why the hell should I pay 30 40 or even $100 bucks a gallon for some chemical, when I could have it made for way less.  I don't call that cheap I call that smart!  I don't penny pinch customer I give them service!!!!!!!!!!!

there a lot of us out here that provide EXCELLENT SERVICE but when it comes to the BIG SERVICE CONTRACTS we will never get the call REGARDLESS OF WHAT WE CHARGE.  That contract was already signed at the country club, way before we got to the front door..

and thats the bottom line!!!

Remember gas price wars?  If all you have to sell is price you aren't selling, you are settling.

McDonals has the worst hamberger and fast food to offer Healthwise..............but the price makes them a winner ( THEY DON'T SETTLE, THEY WIN )

Wal-Mart has some of the Cheapest crap on the market Tools, Clothes, & electronics.........funny thing they too are WINNERS ( WHERE DO THEY SETTLE )

Canadian Tire, Sears, Target Wal-Mart all fight and advertise lowest price...........I GUESS THEY'RE JUST ALL STUPID AND SHOULD TAKE LESSONS FROM A CARPET CLEANER HOW TO MAKE MONEY.

ZELLERS RAN A CAMPAGNE FOR 20 YEARS STATING THAT THE LOWEST PRICE IS THE LAW..............I GUESS THEY'RE DUMB TOO.

Lucky there's all you carpet cleaners to teach them how to do it right LOL

Mickey Ds, Wallyworld and the rest as just a sign of the times.  When you outsource that is what you get.

My customers are well healed for the most part.  They own stock in those companies like I do.  But they don't buy from them.

Hey, NR, you were thinking about a glass of champagne when you meant to type campaign or were you having one? Wink

Mr. Steamer is right, merchandise vs services.  There is a difference.
