barry;
You just brought back memories from our Contracting Days! We used to contract out with alot (!!) of apartments like that! And, that can really be great business if handled properly. The very best; Ed Valentine |

Each Condo building I clean for has a rental manager and rental office that rents the units out for the owners. each building may have 40-150 or more units under their control. Most of the owners live out of state and only come down here 1-2 times a year. So the rental manager is the customer I'm cleaning for. 99% of the time I pick up the key from the office and never see anybody else other than the office worker who hands me the key. A splitter would work great for me in this situation.

You can find them on the Internet, everywhere.
http://www.carpet-cleaning-equipment.net/accessories_heaters.shtml Of course, this only works if you have the unit in the van. Edited by FriendlyHammer - 02/December/2007 at 1:00am |

For me,
This set up is ideal. I do a chem-dry like Low Moisture cleaning for residential work. I use my portable for Condos on the beach. More and more condo Rental Managers and Head of Housekeeping are going back to Hot Water extraction. So Hooking up to a washer/dryer or Stove 220 plug with a splitter is a decent option for me because the units are ALWAYS unoccupied when I clean them. Where do I even find a propane heater set up? I've heard of them but never saw one anywhere. Barry Edited by Laserman - 01/December/2007 at 11:42pm |

Some customers will frown on this.. And it could be a big hassle for you.. If its in the far end of the basement then run your cords all the way to your van.. 100's of feet of ext.cords.. No Thanks..

Mytee sells them. You could also try Home Depot or Lowes
