With all the winter weather that has blanketed most of the U.S. and Canada recently I don't know whether we have more snow or salt to look at. Regardless we are overwhelmed by callers who are frustrated with salt removal that keeps reappearing and the money you have charged to remove it disappearing. We are recommending a new product that actually breaks down salt better than the average detergent and acid rinse. It is generally known as Winterinse. But the best method I have experienced lately is using cold water through a Steamin Demon. If you are not aware of this machine it actually flushes up to 4 gallons of water through the carpet per minute. This system actually works compared to a high water volume wand. Just a tip or a sales pitch depending on how you look at it. I guess if you purchase a Steamin Demon from me consider it a sales pitch. If you purchase it from someone else consider it a tip. Any way you look at it you win with salt removal. While your competitor is still stroking, sweating and trying to figure it out. |

Sugar can also be used to melt snow. The reason they use salt is because it is cheaper. I wonder to what effect all this salt has on the environment.

I HAD THAT PROBLEM JUST LAST WEEK WHILE I WAS VISITING MY LAST YEARS CUSTOMERS. THIS PETICULAR RESTAURANT OWNER WAS WASHING HIS WINTER RUNNERS IN THE PARKING LOT WITH A GARDEN HOSE AND A LARGE SEARS SHOP VAC AS I ARRIVED, HE ASKED ME WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE SALT. ALL RESTAURANTS HAVE DEGREASER TO CLEAN THEIR KITCHEN EQUIPMENT WITH AND I TOLD HIM TO USE IT DILUTED 4 TO 1 AND VOILA........WORKED LIKE A CHARM....MIND YOU HE HAD TO SCRUB IT IN WITH HIS SHOES, THEN HE USED A LONG PUSH BROOM. BUT IT WORKED GREAT, AND I WAS HAPPY HE WAS DOING ALL THAT TOO BECAUSE I HATE CLEANING RUNNERS, MOSTLY 'CAUSE I USUALLY CLEAN THEM AS A CURTIOUS SERVICE, A LITTLE GIFT IF YOU LIKE. I don't think that will get rid of the salt, Dakota. But I could be wrong.

Absolutely doug, this sounds like a big problem that will require a lot of product. I could cut you a good deal on a tank car load. |
