I have the opportunity to book Denny's for a demo cleaning with a very good chance of them using me for the new cleaning guy. There are few problems though:

1) Denny's stays open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and I would have to do my demo while people are in the restaurant and I have a portable, so its going to be in the building and very loud which is going to disrupt people. Dead

2) The manager said I am required to have insurance up to 1 million dollars.  I currently have no insurance (I'm having a very hard time finding coverage for a carpet business). Dead

P.S. - The manager told me they can shut down the restaurant for 4 hours in order for me to clean IF they decided to go with my services and they would need a month in advance to prepare for the 4 hour shutdown, so I guess thats alright, but what would you do in this situation? Confused
I got money in the bank, but E on the tank.

The manager said I am required to have insurance up to 1 million dollars!

If I had to get insurance just for that one job, I'd pass!

I had planned on getting insurance anyway, I just don't know if it was going to be a million dollar coverage, the manager said for restaurants of that type like the Denny's and Ihops of the world require million dollar coverage.

One million is low. The norm for liability is 2-5 million

there is millions of sq ft of carpet out there why would you want a building that is open 24 hours and you would need a lot more than 1 million in liabilty insurance

You dont need 1M insurance.. Your cleaning the carpet not re-modeling the building or doing a re-roof or want to buy the place..

Pass on it.. They dont pay right away.. You want to wait 30-90 days? Not me..

When the Mex's see you with that portable they will tell there boss.. I can do that for you cheaper..
