That is obviously not what you tell your customers when you book the job!

I can't believe how some people think. Goof off on a red stain. duh. This is a
SOLVENT! Gum removal, yes. Glue removal, yes. Red stain???? If goof off would
take it out than so would tide, or dawn, or woolite, or water because it
hasn't sat there long enough to bond. And these other guys who think it's too
much work... stain removal gives the customer what they want, and you can
charge more for it!!! You're not paid for drive time, so it makes sense that
the more you can charge fairly at each job while giving the customer what they
want, the better it is. It's a SERVICE INDUSTRY, GIVE THE CUSTOMER WHAT THEY
WANT OR SOMEBODY ELSE WILL. There are still too many cleaners who focus on
"marketing trends"  "shaping the customer" and other  Joe Polish bs that works
for a year or two and then your screwed because your out there competing with
guys who actually know what they are doing. Here's a thought... become good at
what you do and charge like somebody who is good at what they do.

I once cleaned Steve's Music Store (downtown Toronto). The carpet was very badly soiled not to mention gum stains as far as the eye could see.

Figured it took about 3 extra hrs. to remove all the gum stains + any other spots charging an extra $200 for this service.

I went home exhausted but happy.

Apparently 6 months later they completely replaced all the carpeting.

Goof-off is awesome. The only GUM REMOVER I use. I'm not even going to try it on kool-aid. And that buzz you get while using it.....WOW! Tried goo-gone...Not as good as Goof off.   Plus it's only 5 bucks for a can. It pours out of a little nozzel, so you don't get it all over your hands and van.
We use propane, so you know we're safe.

Shrack,

All that toxic stuff you are using is killing you and giving your customer a high not to mention you are delaminating and messing up the back side of the carpet.

Look at Core Unbelievable Citrus Gel. You use much less because it is a cream and not a liquid and it never gets to the back of the carpet, plus it has a very pleasant aroma. It works very well.

Call Core for a distributor near you. 1-800-825-core

P.S.
I keep saying it and no one listens. NEVER EVER USE A PRODUCT PROFESSIONALLY THAT CAN BE BOUGHT IN A GROCERY OR HARDWARE STORE. NEXT TIME THEY WON'T NEED YOU.

For the coffee by a gallon of hydrogen peroxcide 20%.  Put it in a spray bottle full strength and soak the coffee stain.  Walk away and come back a day later and it will be gone with no damage to the carpet.  Wash your hands a lot as the hydrpgen peroxcide will give a burning feeling to your fingers and turn them white.
Red relief is my best friend in carpet cleaning.  Mix part A & B together and aggitate into the red stain.  Put down a well dampened  white towel  over the stain and set the iron on it (hottest setting) for about 18-20 seconds.  Repeat again if any red is left.  No more red for you my friend.
I can remove more spots than you can.

Hey that must have been fun to clean.  That was a bad one.  Did it actually all come out, or pretty close.  I usually only hit a bad one a few times at most in fear I will eventually damage the carpet in some way.  I leave a minute of cool time between sizzlings.  I continually wash out the towel after a couple uses and rewet it down, otherwise you may burn the carpet.
I can remove more spots than you can.

Heat transfer on a car interior, your a brave man. Peroxide and amonia would do the same
Could somebody just clean my carpets!
