Hey what's up all...I currently run a company doing seal coating, line striping, and some pressure washing.

I am looking at getting into steam cleaning / carpet cleaning and would like some advice on what to look for or maybe what unit to get.

I have a few commercial accounts lined up, to do the carpets every 3 months at about 13 of their locations, and obviously I'll be doing residential too.

I'd like to get rolling with about 2k, but if I have to get up around 4k, that would work too.  Any suggestions or links would be great.

--

I was checking out some links and saw a Daimer 500v that seemed pretty adequate.  It has steam capabilities, tank for chemicals, and an extraction tank.  How does that unit hold up, or is it garbage?  Thanks a lot for the help.

Never heard of the Daimer 500v. But, I guess you can get started with 4K (I dont think you can get anything decent with 2K). You may not get all the nice toys...But, I guess you can make it work with that amount.

With 4k you'll have to go buy a portable and all the equimpent that goes with it, like sprayers and air movers.

Don't buy that machine that Nightrider is selling above.

Can you guys point me in a good direction as far as a place that sells good portable units and all the accessories?  I mean in all fields, there are ripoffs everywhere, and you don't know that unless you experience it or someone tells you.

Also, do I need a steam unit?  I mean for commercial carpet cleaning, steam is probably the way to go, right?
