Get the porty first . This way you will appreciate the TM that much more when you get it.

I read it right ! Lets talk about the evolution wand 1st. Since you are doing encap .
I will explain it like this, if you have used a portable you are using little effort and carpet cleaning seems effortless. Although aside from the bucket brigade and not enough heat seems ok. Well a truckmount seperates the men from the boys image is also everything. Anyways wanding with that much suction without a glider can make you sweat like a pig. The evolution wand by US Products rocks man. What I think that is  one better weighing only 45 lbs in the red corner the Rotovac i 360 with the nastiest of all carpets do not be surprised you do no even break a drop of sweat. The old work smarter not harder.
I personally think that the 10 grand you are about to spend on a tm  that is an aerostar (garbage that is unreliable) and a prodigy What in the heck is that . Ok who in the hell would sell a TM with 86 hours. I think you understand my point. He is not doing you any favors man you better be mechanically inclined.
Remember anyone can sell you a tm its who can service it.
Also remember the owning a BOAT (break out another thousand)
I hope this helps!  Uh, uh, uh

Since you asked neither Aerostar with prodigy TM all that for 3 k must be a weak tm with 80 hours where other go for 8k with 3000 hours.  If you are going to do it do it right or don't do it at all. Or they say do it right the first time so you do not have to do it again for a while. Balls to the wall. Be patient find a tm that is reputable and reliable and locally serviceable. No mini van you want a cargo van and put vinyl lettering stick a cardholder on the side. As far as the Rotovac with a portable (too wet) thats just as
                     Hysterical
bad as the wet doctor. The Rotovac 360i with a Tm and it is all over now you would be da man!!!  Recommendation is to be patient keep your eyes and ears open and you will find a jewel in the rough.I am just being blunt especially if you are going to be around for a while. You want to be respected. IdeaWhy would you keep talking about a portable when a TM is a mans game you will never want to use one again after aquiring a tm in those cases use your encap.Trust me you will find a way to run your hose. Long term keep your eyes open for an evolution wand your back will thank you!

Ok, I can get a Rotovac portable start up for about 3 grand and start from there. Or I can go a bit more for 10 grand and get a 1997 Aerostar Van with Truck Mount. The van has 70,000 miles on it. The Prodigy TM has 80 hours on it. However, if I did this I would have little left for marketing nor would I have portable.

What to do what to do?

Right now, all I have is a Chevy truck with cap. I am eager to get started, point me in the right direction anyone.
