Don't know your trading area but it's hard to get 30cents sq. ft. dealing with move-out apartment and property managers. Now the much lower price guys with small portables don't always show up on time. Especially this type of cleaning is in demand on the 15th and 31st of the month.

You obviously have the machine power that your competition does not likely have. Sounds like too much.

If you have viewed us before you may have seen when I could never figure out why a person would purchase an expensive truckmount and beat himself to death cleaning for years using a wand.

Look at an RX-20, Rotovac or a Hydramaster Jetless Extractor and save your back, arms and shoulders.

AND DO A MORE CONSISTENT CLEANING JOB!

You are fast splash. You beat Superglide Ken to the draw on that one. And did it with only seven words. Would have taken Ken seven paragraphs.

Is it better to wipe your bun or to wash your bum... that is the question here...  They have taken a sound method of cleaning and made it into a joke.  One that is approved by the manufacturers of carpet.

It seems Kevin you're in the same boat with Myself and Doug, just put your truck and unit on the corner for garbage collection, and jump on the OP express

This is just an elaborate WIPE OUT

So from now on... I'm going to do this with my clothing.. just spray on the agent... get a damp terry cloth and just wipe. It's that easy

Mr. Steamer: I will give it to you. Padding actually does have a rinse cycle to it. When you spray down the cleaning agent first, that is the wash. A little dwell time emulsifies the oily soil in the face fibers of the carpet. The pads are then wet with water, and are almost dripping wet when you put them under the pad driver. The cotton material they are made of holds lots of water. That is the rinse water. During the oscillation process, the oily soil is transfered from the nylon fabric to the much more absorbant cotton surface. The water in the cotton effects the transfer. So the carpet actually holds less detergent residue than those HWE cleaners that think their wash and rinse water can be the same, without consquences. This is one of the biggest reasons that carpet that has been cleaned by OP stays clean longer than the same carpet cleaned by HWE. Ironic isn't it? The people that fight the method the most are those that will not see.

Padman is starting a revolution ...an oscillating one.... this guys is looking to become the Gawd father of pad...

there is a lot of money to be made if cleaning goes from HWE to pad..

Answer this question to yourself.....

Can you wash your hair without washing the Chemicals out????

Hell I could save 5mins if I just soaped up my body and then dried it off with an absorbant towel... I might look clean but would I be clean???

soap and water

soap and water

soap and water

give me that ol time religion it's good enough for me

See Diva; no slaughter! Actually, I think Kevin needs to buy one of John's Conquerer Pad machines too. In areas where there is lots of competition, you need to differentuate your service from the me too cleaners. Once you do that, that 30% premium John talks about becomes easy to get.

My dad still lives in San Marcos and my brother in law bought the biz from us, business is good there and you won't have any problem getting your price either.

I am in Kentucky now and have been since '92.

Maybe what you need to do is call around (anonymously) to local reputable cleaners in your area and get quotes.

Don't compare yourself to Joe Blow who is going to do it for a sandwich and a beer. Check the with the big boys and then charge at par!

650 PSI is too much you are just over wetting and forcing water down to the underpad (you don't want that)  400 psi should suffice.

200f is good .

I know Im going to get slaughtered for this but, Have you looked into an OP system?
