If you have a floor buffer with a pad driver consider the bonnet method.  Less of a learning curve, lower investment and operating costs.  Pretty standard with commercial cleaning excluding restaurants although the Hot Knife chemical from Vacaway.Com is designed for greasy eating establishments.

About that porty running out of a van using a generator and the whole inline heater, vac booster, 100 ft of hose, go to http://www.rickiefontenotsjanitorialservices.com/ and contact him.  He has exactly that setup.
Are you in a high paying business or are you just a self employed low paid grunt who thinks this business provides dignity?

I have been in commercial cleaning for some time now and want to add carpet cleaning as well. I have a mytee speedster 1000 hv- basic machine no heat. i would love a recoil but cannot justify the cost as i am just starting to test the waters. My machine has 200 psi pump and 2-2stage vac motors. Ideally I want to run about 100 ft of hose if even possible. Here are my questions:

What about the universal vac booster? would that give me enough boost to run 100 ft or so without upgrading motors? Any suggestions?

I have the dual motor rotovac but fear it might wet too much for my machine to keep up.?

What about heat? Are inline heaters very good? I want the most heat possible but probably stay away from propane if i can. Will these produce steam  or are they just a headache- the inline heaters.

I know all this would run me close to 1,000 but I do have the rotovac for sale so that could just about cover the cost. I hate to try and beef this machine up but I just cant justify the recoil with no customer base and the dream of trying for new business.
or is this just totally crazy? I would like to run whatever i have from the van as much as possible off a generator.
