I pay about $46 for a gallon of scotchgard (may be a little high) from jondon. A gallon gets you 800 square feet, according to instructions. $46/800sf = $0.0575 (about 6 cents). It takes about an hour to apply 800 square feet of protector and grooming. I charge 20 cents per square foot. 800sf x $0.20 = $160. $160-$46 = $114 for about 1 hour of combined work (application, grooming, and set up). If you want more money, charge more.

Hey everyone, I was wondering what you are charging for carpet protector? What are you paying for the product? I think I am paying too much for the product so I am not making enough profit. |
