I'll clean machine made rugs on site and I used to take the man made ones to a local guy and he cut me a deal. It wasn't worth it unless their was several rugs. I would bid high on small jobs so that it was worth my time.

Actually, that should read "to prevent browning and bleeding".

When you guys do area rugs, do you do them right there on location or pick up and return? I get a fair amount of calls that want them picked up. My prices are in line with what others are charging, but I feel like I end up with too much time invested. Also, it seems like every 2nd or 3rd area rug I get is wool. Not oriental, but often a real PIA to prevent drying and bleeding.
