At the moment I am looking for a wand. A quad jet.
Could you PM me a list of your gear and I will see if there is anything I can use?

I am willing to sell pieces. Which pieces would you be interested in?

Best you moved! We are recuperating from Hurricane Gustav. My house was without power for 40+ hours, and many, many are still without. Winds were Monday, and now we are having rainfall so heavy that areas are flooding. If you remember Prescott Road, all of that area is flooded.
I am lucky. Part of a tree down, and now that the power is on, I am fine!

I haven't fired anyone, well at least not as a cost-cutting measure. The manager and I run the company together, and he doesn't want to continue with it for any longer. The company is still up and running, but our interest in it has waned greatly. It was a good business, at times a great business, but we are both getting older, and want to divest ourselves of the company. (Gee, on paper it looks sort of pitiful, but like I said, my life has just taken another turn!) Of course, it is air duct season here! |

I would offer the manager an option to buy the company before you straight up start firing ppl.

Maybe you need to hire a different Manager since your still running around like a chicken with his head cut off.. It shouldnt be that way with a skilled Manager.. He should be taking care of it all.. You just count the cash and check in one in a while. |

We considered that, but it just isn't a viable option at this point. I don't know how it is in other areas, but here you have to be willing to devote everything to keeping employees trained in place. To be totally honest, I am just wanting my entire life to take another turn!
Thanks for the wishes for luck! With a school year starting soon and the business on the market - I need it!!

Good luck Terri. Since money is not an issue perhaps you could sell it (the business with the equipment) to the business manager for a song and maintain a position of ownership entitling you to a piece of the profits.

Are you in a high paying business or are you just a self employed low paid grunt who thinks this business provides dignity?

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Terri, and I own a carpet and air duct cleaning business in Louisiana. Personally, I have a manager who runs the biz, and I teach school. Honestly, I am looking to sell my equipment, and not because business is bad, but because I just can't dedicate the time and energy it takes to keep the employees on their toes! I am husband -free (widow), and am looking to simplify my life!
The carpet and air cleaning business is a WONDERFUL business for those who have the time to dedicate to it. But since it is just me dealing with it all, whew....I need a break!
