1. How many cleaners serve the area now that would be competition?
2. How many potential customers are now? 3. How much money do you need to make? 4. Are there enough customers to do that assuming you can get your fair share? The answer to "would it be worth it for me to start up a new business here" is answered by saying based on the research you or a firm you hired conducted determines that their will be room for at least 1 more. Then, if there is room, what makes your offering so different or are you just going to be a "me too" kind of company? Then ask yourself two personal questions: Am I running away from something I want to avoid or is my motivation that of someone walking boldly and deliberately into the dragon's lair? Can I see myself doing this and only this for the next 40 years or is this just something I am willing to do until something safe like a good paying job comes along? |
