doug...that sounds like good advise to me.....cover your ass.... If you just want the stain out...why don't you just try some brown out.... with an air mover......and see what happens |

Glad you asked...click here to see a neat little air mover that would be perfect for speed drying upholstery. In fact now that I think of it you should always use this on upholstery even if it is to impress your customers. When placing cushions for drying always stand them up on wax paper. Dye bleeding from cushion to carpet, carpet to cushion or cushion to cushion is an expensive and nightmarish problem created by many cleaners. As Steamer says: "Common Sense" |

HokieClean: We never 3rd party invoice. The person who calls signs the authorization and pays. In this case let ith renter chase the landlord as you will probably have to because he never had a contract with you. Now the stain did it orignate from the pipes (rust ect.) or has it wicked up from the grundge from below. Are you sure both layers of carpet are dry are they on wood or concrete. Once you start and except responsibility for this mess it will be yours. When you find the where the stain orignated from and if it can be successfully removed you should be able to clean it the way you would normally clean. Make sure you know who owns the carpet as you don't want the landlord on your back if you are unsuccessful. Replace, Replace.

Hey y'all, I've got a friend in an old, poorly maintained building. A pipe broke and soaked the floor leaving a stain. They dried it up with some fans but there is still a stain. She asked me to take a look at it and we found there was no pad, but only two layers of carpet. The current (old) crappy carpet was installed directly on top of older crappy carpet. Can you give me any advice on how best to clean this office? It really ought to be replaced, but the landlord is not likely to do that, so she wants to bill the cleaning to him.
While we're at it, any tips for best drying cushions on a sofa? I don't want to put a damp cushion against anything that might by harmed by it.
