I have been thinking a lot about that. What would you think about using viniger and water for an acid rinse ? |

It seems that I have accumulated my findings from renting both of these units out to mostly novices. The Cimex is generally back within hours saying their customer would not accept this cleaning method calling it a shampoo method. Now, when they take the Accelerator and the customer sees the extremely soiled pads then the customer accepts and allows them to carry on.
I guess it's all in how you explain the Encap process.
Keep well and I am glad to see you are still disagreeing, it's one of your wonderful trademarks.

The hot water extraction is done the next time I come, and I do not add any soap, just do a pretreat and rinse out the dry foam shampoo left from the last time I cleaned, two months before.

If you shampoo first, don't use any more chemical in the extraction process unless it is Textile Rinse.

Cimex has 3 heads and you have multiple choices from brush to a couple types of pads

Does the Cimex use a pad or brush ? I have a 17" carpet brush that I use on my floor scrubber with a dry foam shampoo. I do a follow up with a hot water etraction enz-all pretreat and rinse. This works well for me.

I disagree with you Ted, the Cimex is the best encap machine the accelerator is a great low moisture cleaning method, and there is a big difference in the 2 methods. We use both. With the Cimex we use an encap juice and with our Brute [ your accelerator] we use Chemspec DFC 105 or heavy Duty Degreaser depending on the soil load, with great success. Yes with the Cimex you do not get dirty pads, but that is how that system works, with the pad system you get tons of dirty pads. Two different methods you are comparing apples to apples. That's my 2 cents worth. If one was really interested in this type of cleaning they should consider purchasing both machines, and I might add we only use these machines in our commercial division

Pushing a Cimex over a dirty carpet cetainly is impressive to the eye. But, when you actually inspect the poly cleaning pad used after a 1000 sq. ft. cleaning it hardly looks soiled.
Pushing an Accelerator over a dirty carpet is impressive to the eye and when you inspect the cotton or micro-fiber it shows very serious signs of soil removal only after 100 sq. ft.
Side-by-side the choice is very clear. As to which one is actually extracting the most soil. Re-washing the cotton pads may be an additional chore but well worth it if you are looking for low cost quality cleaning. Keeping in mind that Encap is being used in both cases.
Nevadaman, hope this info helps...for more info on OP Cleaning go to our discussion topic on Bonnet & Oscillating (OP) Cleaning.
