The pump will be an external belt driven pump.

Thanks.

30 PSI works better. 100 psi might exceed the ability to pump, in which case you will suck air and lose prime.

    Thanks Ken!

How much does the pressure rating affects the flow.    30 psi to 100 psi?

I have a pump (belt driven trash pump 3in NPT ) that specs to 105 ft of head and 26ft of suction. Question, is this enough to over come 16” to 18” hg (243 inches of lift)?

This was the question you wanted answered, so I will answer it for you.The answer is yes. 26 ft of suction works out to 312" of lift(26 ft X 12"). That is more than the suction(245")within the tank, so it will have no problem pumping the water out.

You only need 500 psi with 4 gpm to clean carpet. You can recover that with the 4509 blower quite easily

No! not with this setup, but I do need to recover my water.

I mostly clean tractor trailers and I also do a lot of flat surface cleaning for apartment complexes. And small strip malls

I wanted something almost bullet proof because I’ll only be using a 30 gal unit with this setup. I have 2- 550 gals tanks on the big trailer so waste water is not to much of a problem, but when you using surface cleaners that can run at 12 gpm the tank fills up faster than you might image.

Are you trying to clean carpet with your power washing equipment?

I’m a Professional pressure washer by trade and a rookie carpet cleaner ( mostly for friends and apartment complexes that I do flat work for.) so forgive if I’m not stating the question correctly.

I’m using a Duroflow 4509 PD Pump 16 hg and 4000 rpms 770 cfms free flow of course.

Thanks !!
