I'm thinking about using closed-cell spray foam, but I'm open to suggestions. Gotta keep the equipment and myself warm during those freezing jobs.
And what about sealing gaps? Any tricks you've picked up to make sure that cold air stays outside where it belongs? Also, ventilation. How do you balance insulation and airflow? I want warmth, not a sauna on wheels. |

When I clean it, I mean it! :)

Let me tell you from experience: Spray foam that is not covered by some type of panel is very flammable. Had the unfortunate experience from a mini - grinder.

What does " Door the Floor " mean ?....Never heard that one before
I would check with your auto insurance company before applying tar as an insulant...........it is highly flamable and might not even be legal.

You have to remember what the properties of insullation are. Insulation has only 1 function and that is to keep the Heat in and NOT the Cold out.
To properly insulate your truck you have to seperate the cabin from the cargo bay area with insulated plywood, most of the heat loss is through the firewall and motor compartment. Cold air is heavy and falls to the lowest point which is your cargo area floor, if the floor is not insulated what's the use
