jtuseo,
I can't help you with the weight. It's the pump-out system that adds to the weight. You can install a flex hose to the front of the unit to facilitate you on dumping into a toilet. It would allow you to manually dump 100% but it will get 90%. The filter is easy. Stick a womans nylon knee-high stocking into the vac intake on the unit. Secure the open end with a heavy duty elastic band to the outside of the intake. It takes all of 10 seconds. Throw the stocking out and replace when it is full of debris. Pump will never clog.
Take another look it's a great money maker and labour saver on floods and large carpet jobs.
It may take 2 men to lift it off the truck, but only half a man to operate it. And that's money in the bank. Edited by Carpetologist - 02/October/2006 at 5:20pm |

DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT I WASTED $2200 ON IT!
First and foremost it is two heavy you need two people to carry it up and down stairs. I bought the 200 psi unit . Vacuum power and solution pup power is good. The gate valve for to manually dump is not toilet bowl height do you have to use a bucket. The biggest problem with this unit is. If you are pumping out a flood , clean water or sewage flood. There is no filter in the unit so the sump pump always gets clogged. Im going to have to rig a filter in my vac hose or something, I should ahve went with a Noah, but I was attracted that I could use this Flood Master as an all in one portable to use for floods & carpet cleaning jobs. |
