Guys, I just started a carpet cleaning business, which I have always wanted to do. I thought know better place to start advertising than on a fishing forum that I am a member of. I offered a disount to forum members and I got an unbelievable response. It has been about 2 weeks and I am still setting up appointments with members. The first day I went out was a Sunday to do a carpet for a member on the forum. He called his dad to see if he needed his carpet cleaned. Anyway went over and cleaned his dads house and the neighbor came over and said he needed his done too. My first day made a lil over $400.00 in less than 6 hours. Gave out business cards and asked members to get the word out for me
Bottmom Line:
1.Look at joining some kind of local forum in the community. ( my next adventure will be the local scuba diving forum)
2. Word of mouth and business cards
