Glowing purple sounds like an indicator dye. These appear as a result of severe pH change. Test the pH of the spot and neutralize accordingly.

Point the black light at your crotch. Now point it to the carpet. If it glows the same you have urine???

Usually when a spot is glowing is means that it's radio-active.........just tell your customer that they've been visited by alians from outter space & that the clean-up is now a Bio-Hazard code RED situation and the price is $200 dollars or complete removal of carpet

After cleaning carpet noticed in one spot a purple glowing spot. Customer blamed me but two days prior my chemical pump went our was told due to Energizer which is another story anyways I said it was a urine spot. How do you tell the difference in spots when they start glowing is there a simple method. Also when you clean a pet stain and use your blacklight those spots still show man I am getting more confused. How do you know if they have been treated or they are new ones.
