Why do you British folks still enslave the people of Northern Ireland

Treat them as less than second class

Lock them up in Jail for years on end with no trial and no jury no charges

before you rave about the americans

 

Look at all the crimes the british did to India.

 

Why do you still have british army  In Norther Ireland.

 

is it to keep the catholics in line

We could look at the IRA as heros freedom fighters

clean up your own front yard before you point at some one elses

Last time I looked the British are in Iraq too.

Some people don't argue to win. Some do it to organize/crystallize their own points-of view. Sometimes it's just a simple exercise or distraction. Sometimes we argue just to puff ourselves up. There are lots of reasons, but I'm sure you're beyond all of them.

No, Pile, I wouldn't do that. I often don't agree with this administration. I didn't vote for this administration. But it doesn't make me hate my country, and I certainly don't believe that all Americans are responsible for these actions. The reason you're getting angry reactions is that you're indicting all Americans, just according to your own words. If that's not your intention, please set us straight. You've gotta know that you won't get polite responses with what you've been spewing. Maybe you're just trying to stir the pot; if so, good job.

Personally, I couldn't care less about your education. Some of the stupidest people I've ever met were in my college classes, and some of the smartest people I've met cleaned carpets with me.

Alright, I'll answer the question regarding my education....... as Pile_Lifter, I have no education at all........why.....because Pile_Lifter is an ERRONEOUS name as far as who I am,   it is also a FICTITIOUS name as to who & what I represent,   it is also a DUBIOUS name as to the content of what I post

My question was not loaded at all, it's just so factual that nobody even with the higest intellegence can possibly ponder yet alone trying to supply an answer.

Allow me to bring the same question to the most lowest common  intellectual  demominator........................" WOULD YOU GIVE THE KEYS AND SECURITY CODES TO YOUR HOME, CAR, & FAMILY INTERESTS TO YOUR ENEMY OR A THIEF TO PROTECT YOUR HOSEHOLD FROM TERROR "

Now.................That's simple enough to answer, doesn't sound loaded to me

It's not just that his posts are dumb, Ninja-Wand. The problem is that he asks a loaded question. A question resting on a false premise cannot receive a proper answer; it sets up the respondent to deliver a poor answer no matter what. Pile_Lifter clearly doesn't even understand the distinction between a government and its people (e.g., a government's decision is not literally its people's decision). Without at least a basic acknowledgment of this principle, he can't get beyond baby-step-one. I suppose I take it for granted that everyone understands that one may simultaneously love one's country and yet disagree with its government. Neither is it every citizen's duty to defend every action of their goverment to foreign critics. That would be the fascist's role, perhaps the socialist's. I exercise my freedom to agree or disagree with my goverment according to my own conscience, which is a right guaranteed by the principles of my State. Thomas Jefferson once offered, "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism." Pandering to unreasoned demands such as his confines us to be blathering apologists for our nation's actions, when our duty truly is to be champions of our nations' principles. Don't be trapped by the ignorant and immature tactics of a garrulous bore.
