Not long enough though. It has only been 10 months since I started back into manufacturing virtually from scratch after closing down Aqua-Max. It took me the next 8 months(till March) to rebuild my distributor base to close to what it was before the letters from HR shut alot of it down a year ago(March 2004). Considering what my reputation when through after that happened, most observers that have been in this industry for 20 years or more, have told me that I have recovered amazingly quickly. I attribute that to the fact that I committed my own money to getting those affected by Aqua-Max's closing, fixed up in regard to supplies that were outstanding. You must crawl before you can walk, and you must walk before you can run. I am just getting ready to run, and I got there in less than a year. To some that may seem like slow progress, but I know better.

I've been watching for a while. Nothing has changed. You need some credibility and doing what you're doing isn't going to get you any. Don't listen to me or anyone else though, cause we don't know anything about running a business. We don't do it everyday. We're just schmucks who come here for entertainment

Not theory, Paul. It is real life. I have the case histories of many companies that have done it this way very successfully. Watch and learn.

Good theory Ken. Theory. Not real life. Selling product to distributors and then giving it to end users directly including free shipping sounds like shooting yourself in the foot........................no, in this case head.

If the distributor is also the manufacturer of the glides, you have nothing to worry about. I was talking distributors that must buy their product from manufacturers. In that case, you are dealing with a distributor working with a very fixed margin to operate with. If he/she cuts the price on ALL products they sell too much, and makes no money selling, you will not have that distributor around for the long haul!
In the case of a manufacturer selling product into the marketplace, that manufacturer does not need to make a profit on the glides sold immediatly. He just has to make sure his distributors make money on the glides sold is all. As long as the manufacturer has his money being made elsewhere in his product line, he can wait for years if neccessary while his product wears down the competition and eliminates the competition in it. |

Who is the lowest priced distributor of glides? I guess he might not be financially stable enough to be around far into the future. How does the saying go "Live by price, die by price" |

they are very financially stable and you know they will be around far into the future when you need them. Something that may not be true when you always deal with the lowest priced distributors out there Who is the lowest priced distributor?? |

Fibreclean is a good company, with good people and products and service. Are they the lowest priced company to deal with? No, but then again, they are very financially stable and you know they will be around far into the future when you need them. Something that may not be true when you always deal with the lowest priced distributors out there.

Hi Dyna, Try Alberta Steamway in Calgary. They have just
moved to new location. They have an 800# but misplaced
it at moment. There carrying the Steamway, masterblend and a
local companies product lines. Prices I think are good. I find
you have to double the recomended strength of fibrecleans products to
work. All the best
