I don't know if you really are interested in sears franchise but I do not advise it to you.

secondgen.... I don't know your location, some areas are just crap no matter how many homes... it's like Doug says you really want to take a look at the books... out here they set goals for the franchisee and you have to get 85% of your target goal or it comes out of your pocket... people think sears is crap... it's the guy who buys the franchise the wrecks the name... some areas have been ruined and it takes a long time to rebuild them |

I would think regardless of the population of the service area I would want to know what his volume of business is and has been. Potential for futrue froth is up to the purchaser. I would think it would be hard to put a price on future growth. You need to see the client lists and income statements.

The lack of people to call...... Sears pumps the advertising.... it's in your face... it's in the mail box... it comes in with your statement... it's in the mature outlook coupons... they telemarket...they are in the yellow pages no carpet cleaner is willing to do so much to get jobs... I'm from toronto and in the GTA They book at least 100 to 150 calls a day thats a few millions homes |

it all depends on the area..... if it's an area that no one owns and your buying it direct from sears.... it'll be cheap or at least cheaper than an area already up an operating... franchise fees are a pain at 13% plus you have to do the advised avertising wheather you want to or not. which will also cost a pretty penny. there are a few other things I don't like ...but who wants to hear me type... |

IMO no
not sure why someone would call a department store to have their carpets cleaned?
I know the Sears name was mud around here I'm sure Steamer knows more about it than most of us |
