This is all news to me and I guess we will have to leave it to Jim to answer those questions.  Care to tell us which manufacture stated this claim Steamer.

Some of the stuff we spray on actually voids the manufacturer's warranty.

Water based anionic fluorocarbons??... does Dupont still have PFOS in there product or have they followed 3M...

I got the 200 sq ft per gallon right from the manufacturer RTU that is... for best results... he said anything less is just a misting

I think I can speak for most majfacturers. The 1200 sq. ft refers to the gallon of concentrate. The reason that you mix it 4 -1 is that the water serves as the carrying agent for the fluorochemical to find itself to all parts of the fiber.

Over the years, I have heard many say that they think this is too much water. The real key to product performance is to get 1200 sq. ft per gallon of concentrate. Mix it at whatever level you feel comfortable. 1 -1, 6 - 1 or 12 -1.

Just make sure that each gallon covers 1200 sq. ft. At this level the customer is getting what they paid for and a properly formulated product will perform properly

You have to be doing something wrong Steamer. To spray you use an even flow with no overlapping and this should cover 1200. What do you use a pump up sprayer or your hydro force?

Steamer this is concentrated and if you perpare the gallon with the required dilution, yes it will cover 1200sq ft.

The gallon your purchase has to be diluted 8to1 wet or 4to1 dry and this will cover 1200sq ft.  The dilution rate could be vis versa, I get mixed up on that.

Steamer I have never heard of a protectant that only can cover 200 sq feet.  The protecant we sell covers 1200 sq ft. Unless you meant 2,000 and if you did the customer is being ripped off.
