NO JOKE...I HAVE REALLY CONSIDERED GOING INTO THE CLEANING THING FULL TIME...HORRIBLE IDEA WHEN YOU HAVE NOT ESTABLISHED ANY CUSTOMERS TO DATE BUT I FEEL I HAVENT RECEIVED ANY CLIENTS BECAUSE MY 9 TO FIVE IS SO TIME CONSUMING. I WORK IN A BANK AND HAVE NO TIME TO EVEN PICK UP THE PHONE TO CALL HUBBY TO SAY HOW ARE YOU....ITS RIDICULOUS.
I HAVE THOUGHT TO PAY SOMEONE ABOUT $200 PER WEEK TO SELL SELL SELL FOR US (CLEANING) BUT MY THEORY IS YOU HAVE TO HAVE A KNACK FOR THE SALES PART, A PERSONAL INTEREST IN, ETC. PEOPLE WON'T FEEL YOU IF IT'S JUST A JOB FOR YOU, BUT IF YOU HAVE A PERSONAL INTEREST LIKE I DO THE CONVERSATION TAKES A SHIFT TO PERFECTION BECAUSE YOU REALLY WANT IT.
SO THEN HOW DO YOU DO IT.....

MY TARGET CLIENT: LAW FIRMS, INSURANCE COMPANIES, SMALL OFF SHORE BANKS, DOCTORS OFFICES ETC.

NONE OF THESE PLACES ARE OPEN ON WEEKENDS (WHEN I AM OFF) AND IF THEY ARE THE CHANCES OF THE BOSSES (DEAL MAKERS AND BRAKERS) BEING THERE ARE NEXT TO NONE WHICH MAKES FOR A USELESS CALL.

ANY IDEAS?

I have heard this before, you are not alone. What you need is a website. It may sound strange, but people everyday are going online to find carpet cleaners in their area, and businesses are using a website as their sales people.

Since you do not have the time to get new clients by knocking on doors, you need to find a solution so people knock on your door, and a website will do this.

When you’re at work, people are online looking at your site, and some will either call you and leave a message, and some will email you from the site. Either way, you will have people waiting to hear from you once you get off work.

I have owned my own carpet cleaning business for 20 years and some of the best advertising money I spent, was on my website. I just had my website redone a few months ago and I love it! Websites aren't as expensive as before either, I am using ACleanerbusiness.com and it’s a great site for not a lot of money.

Hope I helped

Killed the phone number (nothing but solicitors calling lately).  Have a website that seems to work well for mobile, tablet and computer users.  All my business comes through an estimate form on the website.  My craigslist ads direct people there.  80% of the public makes their purchases on the web.  Only the 20% that are ancient use the phone.  Any idea how much money that knocks of the expenses every month (including not having someone answering the phone)?  I have solicitors who call out on a DNC filtered list of numbers, but they work from home.  I do have a phone for the office to use as an outbound line, it is with magicjack and we NEVER answer it.  If anyone in the office needs to receive calls, they need their own mobile device.

Websites and the internet are in my opinion the wave of the future and telephones are going the way of the telegraph.
