I just bought a Pro Chem - Power Direct truck mount it's in a 2004 Chevy Van and has about 1900 hrs on it. the van 75,000 miles.
I am only getting about 140 deg temp and cant figure out why. The van temp is at about 200 deg  I tried to bleed the heat exchangers got a few bubbles out but no change in the temp at all. Any ideas????

140 is good enough now try adding some prespray, let it dwell and you'll do fine.

If I purchased a truckmount I would certainly expect alot more temp than 140.
You can clean adequatley with 140, but 200+ degrees is alot more effecient.
Could somebody just clean my carpets!

I agree, I'm not happy with 140 deg at all.
this is no warmer than I can get out of the tap.
I need heat........
I've tried bleeding the hx now I'm ready for another try.
Does descale really make a diff?

It can, however if they're no leaks I would suspect it is dumping too much water back in the tank. Can you adjust the flow rate back?? If you can try shutting it off completly to see if it changes. I have never owned a Prochem so I would think Doug may be able to give you better advice

That particular unit is a Cleanco that is private labelled for Prochem. It shouldn't be dumping. Cleanco's don't have that feature/issueBig%20smile

Did cleanco not buy out the orignal company that made those.  Hugh Sinclair used to sell them. I thought they used to be not to bad for a cd with regards to heat. I used one for about a week once.

75000 miles + 1900 X .35miles per hr. = 66500 miles
75000
66500
141500 miles
maybe time for service?

The company that Cleanco bought was Aquatec. The units are similar, but the shafts are different. According to the description on Prochem's website, it has the Cleanco shaft. It's a Cleanco Compact 47Big%20smile

I think the next cheepest thing to try is descale the unit. I don't think it has been done. I'm in contact with the previous owner who said he got 190deg out of it but it has set for six months or so. Yes this unit is a cleanco and was a demo model for prochem. Everything else seems to be working I got the vac up to 14hg  I'm really excited about that I just don't get the heat thing. Can descale really make that much diff? why?

did you chech the HX to make sure it is ok??  does the unit have a fresh water tank?  The last time I flushed one of my units was because it was overheating and would not bypass it kept shutting down. If the truck has no fresh water tank than get one or a water softener.

It could definitely scale up with no use for 6 months. I would descale first. It's simple and cheap to doBig%20smile
