I just ordered the SX-12 to add tile and grout services to my business. I have a Blazer XL tm and was wondering what pressure I should use for tile and grout cleaning. Also what chemicals do you guys use for cleaning and sealing? Any info would be greatly apprecianted.

I myself don't use the SX-12 and know a few who've ordered it and then exchanged it right away for the Turbo. The Turbo is much better constructed. I generally run mine around 800 - 1,200 psi. My chems I use I get from This Old Grout. Great products and have made me a ton of money. Same as sealer. I use TOG clear guard sealer. Not one call back yet.

The Turbo Hybrid is lower profile, better constructed, interchangeable
hard ring and brush ring, modular deck comes apart for easy cleaning,
has an automatic vac compensator on deck, also a vac adjust on the
tube, and picks up more water.

Not really. Turbo comes with a brush ring as well so if you're doing a rough textured surface, it doesn't gouge the plastic ring on the bottom. Gouge the bottom and when you're doing porcelain or a natural stone, you could leave scratches etc. I'm in no way a schill but expressing my experiences. Less water being left as well as you can control the vacuum. There is virtually no water left after cleaning so you don't need the air movers on so long before you can seal which means quicker production rate.
The second one you posted Splash, I'm not familiar with. I know a guy who's helper ran over his Turbo by accident with the van and it did not hurt it at all. Edited by Mark McMaster - 06/February/2008 at 11:16am |

hmmmmmmmmmm they don't look too much different and pretty well the same design features except for the vac. adjusters available on the Turbo. Like I said, I don't mean/intend to knock the other tools, just stating my experience(s) with mine. This is my Turbo with my porty.
