I am currently saving up to start working for myself and cleaning carpets around town, and I have been looking at the available options.

Currently my budget is limiting me to buying a portable extractor.  Im only 20 so I dont have enough credit to get a truckmount, nor do I want to be in debt starting out.

I know that truckmounts are superior to portables.  But like I said, my budget....

Well here is my idea:

Purchase a recoil 2 and add a vac booster.  I will be picking up a generator, so no need to worry about blown circuits.  I am also going to install water tanks in my truck so I wont have to get water from customers, one for fresh water, one for dirty water.   I plan on leaving the portable in the truck,  so I can dump and fill easily.

Would this be a plausible idea?  The only thing left in question now is heat.  What would be the best method of heat with this setup?

Used ninja 250 - $800
5500 watt generator - $400
Water tanks - $200
Vac booster - $800?
Total - $2200

TM - $10,000+?

Where can I find a truck mount for 2-3 thousand dollars?

OUCH!!!
"USED" Ninja??? Buddy just go get a factory job man.
also, you CAN get a second hand TM for less than 10K.

all that junk you're going to buy you wont need later and will not be able to sell.

just get a new Ninja and take it into the house like everybody else does and or did.

also get a 15" floor buffer to scrub in the pre spray or Shampoo from Chemspec.

LOL

It dosent have to be used. and it dosent have to be a ninja.

My idea is getting a powerfull portable to mimic a truckmount, and only take it off the truck when necessary.

I just cant afford to drop 10 grand on a truckmount.

a19;

I'm a little confused here as well.

I thought you mentioned a RECOIL-2; then you stated a ninja. Although the RECOIL-2 is our mid-range machine and has exceptional power, A RECOIL-2 is not a ninja.

I would also suggest that you save up a little more money and purchase a much powerful Portable/TM because this will actually cost you a lot less in the long....and short run.

Take my suggestion because you won't be sorry.

The very best to you and your dreams;

You can buy a Timbucktoo for $650 and save the rest for a TM. That is if you want a TM.
