I have a berber job comming up,can anyone help me by telling me what would be a good chemical,I dont have heat,I have a rotovac and just a regular wand.

Is berber the same thing as olefin.

Would Extreme clean by pros choice be good, the carpet in in a condo that the guy had rented out,he said he had to evict the people,he told me he did a walk thru and said its not real bad but he did say to make sure to bring some chemicals.

Berbers are made with olefin the polymer is called polypropylene.. Upholstery its called Olefin (Herculon)..

Most olefin is solution dyed and the colors are permanent.. Its very resistant to acids and alkalines. Do not use most chlorinated sovents it will dissolve the latex backing.

If you have to use a solvent make it a non chlorinated solvent like a mineral spirit based..

I had olefin Berber in 1988.  My 3 year old berber is nylon.  You can get both or a mix.  Berber is a weave, not a fiber material.  Test the fiber.

The first BERBERs were made completly from wool. I have one of those. Berber today is mostly refering to a method of material construction, not the fiber type. While most are made today from nylon or polyproplene, almost any material can be used in construction. Cost of product and desired wear characteristics have more to do with product chosen than most anything else.

Careful on the moisture, that weave makes it tough to get anything into the carpet, tougher to get it out.  Browning is more than a rifle.  It can shoot a well done cleaning job all to hell.  Post pad and air movers.  Hair dryer in spots you had to get exceptionally wet.  Sounds crazy but consider the source. So when you say post pading does that mean with like one of those 175 machines?
