   Guys,

What, it any sort of Aggitation devices do You use when the traffic areas are really Bad? I'd rather not pull out my 175 RPM buffer to do this. A Few years ago i saw an ad somewhere of a carpet brush. It was mounted on a pole much like a carpet Rake but it had a big round brush about the size of the brush of a Pile lifter vacuum. It also had some sort of friction device that made it harder to roll the brush so that it aggitated Traffic lanes pretty well. Seemed like a good tool but i can't find anywhere on the intetnet.

Talk to your local supplier. They should be able to get you that style of brush. I would use a 175 myself

Well,

Now that I have both my rotary Drimaster tool and my Recoil3 XPS I've found that aggitation is not really an issue.

Rotovac 360 works great on residential otherwise an RX-20 on commercial or if you are still on a limited budget a carpet rake and an oxy type booster work wonders.
P.S. oxy boosters raise the ph to over 10 so it removes the fabric protection and may void warranties.....
but in trashed areas warranties or removing the fabric protector is most often not a concern as the carpet is
older and trashed.

I use a 15" Hild with a showerfeed brush.  Prespray TLC in the heavy areas, let dwell for 15 min.  Shampoo with polymer technology (ph of 7 just like a good neutralizing fiber rinse),  Finish with light rinse with porty and wand if I think it is needed and groom.  Air movers to speed drying.

I am mostly shampoo like the early days.
