OK I'M totally new to this but have been doing alot of research today.

So far I'd like to take an expert's advice on here and maybe get a turboteck portable he said to get started.

The big advantage of having the van/truckmount seems to be if someone had a  problem with water in the basement kind of thing and  then with the van u can charge big emergency money if u can get these jobs  sometimes right?

Big advantages of truckmounts....

1.A great part is the convenience of being able to pull hoses in to the house and be cleaning in 5-10 minutes .
2. not having to always stop and dump water and fill water etc.
3. You have a constant hot water source.
4. which you use at 450 P.S.I. most portables are at 100 P.S.I.

I have always been able to get a loan that stretches the payment to less than the 350.00 or so per month . And have always found good used equipment . especially now with the internet and google it is wonderful .

I'm next for a truckmount.I'm not sure but I believe a TM could do most jobs in under a 1hour.With my porty it takes ages for me to clean just three rooms.

Near bone dry in the LR which was a Nylon medium shag.. berber in the BR's and dry in less than 1hr.. NO LIE here. 100ft of 2" and 10ft wip no glides.. Big smile

Your right their.. But its worth it.. add the gas to the bill one way or another.. When you pull up and they see a TM vs a plastic thingy.. It seems to give you more creditability.. More professionalism.. That's what all the big boys in my area run.. Havent seen a porty lately..

I have seen truckmounts that get from 1000psi-3000psi.On average what do most cleaners use for psi? or Does it depend on the condition of the carpet?
