Subject: setting up a telemarketing program
Date Posted: 19/April/2007 at 6:43pm
Im tired of being a one man show

I live in a small town between two major cities about 65 miles from either

The first being Brisbane it has about 2 million residents or 850,000 homes

The second being the Gold Coast it has around 500,000 reisidents or 250,000 homes

The Gold Coast also attracts around 10 to 15 million visitors each year who stay over night

Now me being born yesterday would say thats a lot mattresses, carpet, uphostry and hard floors these people use RIGHT?

I found out that there is no restrictions on telemarketing other than only being  able to call between 9 am and 8 pm

So here it is:

Has any body set up a successful telemarketing program?

Would I be able to increase the amout of work I need to grow my business?

How do I go about setting it up?

I would really like to hear your thoughts about this

Oh and by the way we have good weather all year round so our cleaning is not really affected by weather.

Thank you for all your help on this

Regards Adrian

I've done it but not able to residential in the usa without a telemarketing license and registering and bunch of other political crap.. Commercial yes..

Before i started on my own I was with a Co. in Milwaukee.. After 2 years I ended up Operation Manager.. Heres what we had...

15 phones manned well mostly womaned 8-hrs a day on 4 hour shift...

Our Gross Monthly was averaging $100,000 big ones a MONTH!!! NO BULL!!

10-15 techs were runnig around spash&dash stlye.. Carpets were getting clean but took awhile to dry 24hrs..not good i know...

A auto dialer i also used for about 10yrs.. They make 1000 calls a day..

I have one for sale that works.. I've made boo-koo money with it.. And still retain repeat of many customers who responded to my sales pitch..

Here it is >> CBC 7000 Computer Lead Generating System. This baby is a must have.. Never calls in sick or take days off.. no lunch breaks or coffee breaks.. Just hard hitting non stop call after call blasting out your Carpet Cleaning or any message you want. 24/6.. Never on Sundays..So 24/6

I used it for House Panting one day and the next day i had 11 homes for painting estimates. Booked 4 houses... Carpet will be easier to book..

Great pitch. John.  Has everything needed.  What I will gain, what I might lose and a call to action.  If the dialer might be leaving messages on answering machines/voicemail I might add:

"Or you can reach us at ###-#### during normal business hours to speak to a rep but you must act fast as these specials won't last long."

Only reason I mention it is I have software that runs on my computer using excel worksheet calling lists (scrubbed) and it will leave messages.

Are you in a high paying business or are you just a self employed low paid grunt who thinks this business provides dignity?

Yea duck you can pretty much say whatever fits your needs... This cbc7000 hangs up or leaves a message on answering machines ... It has a sensitivity adjustment so it can answer answering machines..

Getting in front of the customer gives you a chance to educate and own the prospect.  Besides demonstrations, educational videos work great like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfJUJiUFN3Y
Properly introduced, reputable third party testimonials defending carpet cleaning can help.
