Has anybody used an rx20 with the scrubber head to clean large commercial concrete floors ?
I have a customer who would like about 5000sq feet cleaned monthly and was wondering if it has been done or is an rx20 no good for doing this job?? Should i just spend the money and buy a Autofloor scrubber?
Post your feed back and let me know thanks

Either use an autoscrubber or use a floor machine and wet vac. I think I would go the floor machine/wet vac way.  I would run two 21inch floor machines, while a third person applies the degreaser and sucks up the scrubbing mess. With 3 people it would be a fairly fast job.

It could always be worse. I mean you could be some carpet stain being emulsified by pre-spray all the while watching a wand spraying really hot solution aiming stright for you.

Hey Night rider are you refering to me about running a business? If so how do you know how i run my business if you have nothing good to say then don't reply, if your refering to my customer who cares what they should do, if they would like a good cleaning on a concrete floor with some sort of a powered machine then do the job offer good service with the correct tools, the reason for my question.
Thanks for your input i'am sure you have those rotten tomatoes in your van with that sort of an attitude.

Ezebill............... If you have NO CLUE as to what machinery is needed to do a job in which you should be a professional in then move on to pumping gas at your local gas station  Biker. Can you imagine a Dentist asking what size drill bit to use on a root canal therapy procedure .

As far as me replying to ridiculas posts like yours is done for my amusement and to give others like you a wake up call to think before posting nonsence.........as you can see only 1 other thought your post held any water.

Sucks to be you...................................Nah, nah

Wow. I am here to learn about this busines too.

Does this mean I shouldn't ask questions about how to go about jobs?

I have learned everything I know by just going out there and trying it and asking questions from some really helpful people.

Matter of fact, I have learned allota stuff by reading some of your marketing ideas, nightrider. Should I just give up because I didn't know that before reading it written by you?

Let's take a little stroll down Board Rules Lane, shall we...

Topic: Message Board Rules and Guidelines
    Posted: 15 March 2004 at 6:50pm

This forum was created to be a place to learn, exchange ideas, seek advice, solicit opinions and ask for assistance.

Here are your Forum Guidelines…Please follow them accordingly.

Posting (Replying)

If you choose to disagree with someone else’s opinion or comments, you may do so. But we ask that you be courteous in your disagreement, and that you conduct yourself in a professional manner.

No Flaming

(flaming: to make statements of a personal nature to deliberately provoke or incite others into confrontations)
No aggressive, personal attacks on someone just because of a disagreement with their point of view will be tolerated. Flaming is a cheap shot, the easy way out, and an immature & unintelligent way of "getting back" at another poster by simply being mean-spirited. It is used in lieu of intelligent, logical discourse because the flamer is incapable of intelligence and logic, so they fall back on a personal attack. Again, it will not be tolerated in the Kleen Kuip forums.

No Profanity

No profanity in the Kleen Kuip forums, please. Not everyone wants to read foul or off-color language, and those who do not should not have to be subjected to it. Also, please do not post links to pornography or other adults-only content.

No Cross Posting

Please do not start more than one topic (in the same OR different forums) with the same question or message. Even if your topic's subject spans multiple forums' "themes", please pick the most appropriate single forum, and start your topic there ONLY. Starting multiple topics with the same question or message is confusing, splits up the discussion / answers and makes the moderators' jobs much harder. Please resist all temptation to cross post. Besides, the Moderators will lock duplicate threads as soon as they see them anyway.

Post in the Appropriate Forum

If you are starting a new topic, please give some thought to which forum your topic logically belongs before posting. This will ensure a “quicker” response to your question.

Descriptive Topic Subject

When starting a new topic, please give a little thought to coming up with a meaningful and descriptive subject, especially if you are looking for help or an answer to a question. With a descriptive topic subject, you will increase the likelihood that interested parties will open your topic. And, in the case of a question, you will more likely get a timely, knowledgeable answer.

Staying On Topic

We like to have fun in the Kleen Kuip forums, but not at the expense of getting people's questions answered. So, staying on topic is somewhat relative - as long as the original poster's question is answered in a timely fashion, some straying off topic will be tolerated. But it will always be discouraged if it comes at the expense of helping each other and getting questions answered and problems solved.

Search the Forums

The third thing we ask you to do before posting a question or problem is to please use the http://www.kleenkuip.com/forum/search_form.asp?FID=20 - search feature in the forums to see if your question has been answered or your problem has been solved before. Again, this helps the Administrators and Moderators a great deal. Since they all strive to insure that no one's question in the forums goes unanswered, answering you own question if possible will save them time (and typing!). So doing a little work up front to try and answer your question yourself is a huge help and is much appreciated.

Share the Wealth!

If you have been helped by another forum member, share the wealth by reaching out and answering someone else's questions when you can! That's what the Kleen Kuip forums are for - helping each other out.

Your cooperation and adherence to these guidelines and suggestions is greatly appreciated. Doing so will insure that the Kleen Kuip forums continue to be the best place on the Internet for carpet cleaning information, sharing and problem solving.

See you in the forums! And happy posting!

Those found to be in violation of these guidelines will be removed and banned from the board.

KnowsLittle...........What a GREAT name you chose............If all your education was obtained by posting questions here and listening to others that post here............YOU ARE IN BIG TROUBLE ...........KleenKuip offers courses to potential carpet cleaners not just to give out free sandwiches & drinks to those who come to  lay their money down.

The carpet cleaning industry has a bad name because of wanna-bees like you and many others who learn on the fly and destroy peoples belongings,  carry NO Insurance,  grab the cash don't pay taxes,  don't charge taxes,  play the switch & bait game,  and extort honest customers with lack of knowledge and professionalism.

Let's face it.............any unemployed or welfare case can buy a portable and call themself a carpet cleaner.................but can they properly clean a carpet with know-how and expertise..........I highly doubt it.

The only smart thing you did was learn some of my marketing tricks, but my tricks are intended to make you money without hurting any others financially.

I CAN'T BE BANNED FROM THIS FORUM 'CAUSE I'M THE GREAT NIGHTRIDER HOLDING THE BALANCE BETWEEN IMAGINATION & REALITY.

ezebill,

A 20 inch electric or batter auto scrubber will clean approx. 2000 sq. ft. per hour. Used battery ($3,500.00) Electric ($2,500.00).

Or look at the http://www.kleenkuip.com/portables/esteam_1200.htm - New Ninja 1200 psi Hard Surface Cleaner . This will do the job plus put you into a new venture. On the other hand buy the RX-20 head. It will be the least expensive if you already own an RX-20.

LOL
Nightrider, my name is a reflection who I always want to be...someone who is always willing to learn. If you know everything, you have no chance for improvement.

So far you have identified me as someone who is a wanna-be (I agree with this), who will destroy other peoples belongings, carry no insurance, grab cash, don't pay taxes, don't charge taxes, play switch and bait games, and extort honest customers. Clap Congrates, you are truly one bad mo-fo if you already know all of this about me.

Don't you think an arrogant carpet cleaner is sorta an oxymoron? Wink

You seem like you are real bright when you use this logic: Guy asks honest question about how to do something right on a board of so-called professionals....guy get's told he is stupid for asking the question in the first place....

This makes you really seem like the guy that is trying to improve your profession.

WOW. You are extremely brigth there, little fuzzy fella.

LOL.....Good for you KnowsLittle...........I just love a confrontation between two minds.

As far as me knowing all about you..................I'm most likely right........more right than wrong anyway...........but naturally you'll never admit it Angry..After all NOT paying your taxes on income earned is a NO NO in the eyes of Revenue Canada Wink

Now to the point of asking an honest question posted by ezeBill......sure it was an honest question............but at the same time a little immature...........so I responded with an immature answer

Thanks for calling me a Fuzzy Little Fella Heart I didn't think you cared Hug

The RX20 is primarily designed for carpet cleaning, and using it on large commercial concrete floors might not provide optimal results. For extensive concrete floor cleaning, an auto floor scrubber designed specifically for hard surfaces could be a more efficient and effective choice.
