thank kinda sounds nasty....I like the slide in ...just for that reason.....

Say if your truck gets written off...I think it would be easier to pull a slide in...and have it re-installed

I've done one in a day....but a PTO...much more problems...intergrated wiring...that shaft...it's hard to do it yourself..

slide-ins give more heat....It's an owner operator machine because they have a few more bells and whistles...It's much harder to use a slide-in that you haven't been trained on...

PTO...most have 2 switches...one to turn the machine on....one to turn  the pump on...and a throttle for your RPM....easy as pie...great for the employee

This customer wishes he purchased a slide-in as opposed to a PTO. If he purchased a slide-in we would have it out of this wreck and back into a rental van the same day. Since it is spring we are busy. Who knows how long this PTO van will take to get back on the road and into production with insurance claims etc., etc., etc.

Mr. Steamer my Hide must be wearing off.  Ihave to agree with you. If you desire performance a slide- in is the way to go.  Just my opinionGuitar

The only draw back is you need a better van with a slide in because of the weight.  We use extended 1 ton GM vans. I guess it also depends on the size if your unit, but with water and hose reihls we find extended vans better all the way around.  Just my opinionGuitar
