Subject: Truck mount Question

I run a Prochem blazer. This happened to me twice. If I let the truck run for a while with out spraying water out of the wand , the unit will shut off. Then it will not start up until, I shut off the water comming from the hose and taking the hose out of the unit. I wait a few minutes and it starts up then. I did notice that when it happened today the little water tank that is to the right of the unit was blowwing out steam from the hole in top of the black plastic lid. Does that little tank act like a radiator? Any input would be helpful.

John

Your bypass oriface is plugged. Take the screen out clean it then take the oriface out and clean it. Mine takes an allan key. Are you using soft water? I check mine every once and awhile. I carry soft water so very little chance of it clogging.

The water is soft here in nyc no minerals in it. The top cap of the plastc jug screws off is that how I get to it?

The bypass is on your machine. Apparently the water is not soft enough??

it could be your temperature high heat shut of....

If water sits in your heat exchangers while the unit is running,,,the high heat shut off will shut down the unit at 325*f

if your going to run your unit for more than 5 minutes without spraying you should turn off the pump or open the water bypass

Mr. Steamer sorry but I have to dissagree. You are right the high sensor will shut the unit down. But I don't think this is the problem. Shuttng the pump off will only contribute to the already hot problem. Opening the manual bypass will dump too much water into the waste tank. Just clean the oriface and be done with it.

I didn't disagree doug.... I was giving other options...but thinking about it again...he did say his water box gets hot....

if the oriface is blocked..that means hot water is going back up through the pump...NOT GOOD

are you talking about the oriface on the pressure unloader on the regulator valve???

I have never owned a Blazer, so check your manul or email pro chem. I only know where it is on Bruins & 405's.

Only poor design is the heat exchanger bypass? I had one of the Bruins not shut down from high heat. It got so hot it melted almost everything and turned the  c converter deep blue. One of my techs hooked at a farm with good old hard rusty water. Very expensive day repair wise.

I dont think they should let the unused hot water return back to the water box

I didn't think a Blazer could get hot enough to shut down with the sensor??

I was right I was right...lol

it use to happen alot to my legend.....I'd have to get an open ened hose to get it started again... now if I'm moving a lot of furniture or doing a lot of stairs ...I open the heat by-pass while I run

I just go to muffler mode. I still maintain 230 atm when moving furniture, cleaning stairs or upholstery. If the machine is working properly it should bypass on its own. I just change to muffler as to not go threw so much water?
