    Posted: 12/September/2010 at 4:11pm
Hello everyone,

I have an opportunity to bid on some office work which consists of carpet cleaning
as well work station panels. I have never done panels before and don't know what to quote.
They have 130 work stations at 6x8 each.

Any suggestions on what to charge for doing these work stations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Rick

I've done lots of these. they're not particularly hard to clean, and usually not even very dirty. If you can lay them down, do so and just use your wand.

Most of teh time though you have to use your upholstery tool. Typically takes about 2 minutes per panel. 130 panels x 2 minutes = 260 minutes, or just under 4 1/2 hours work.

Wait until the crew sets up all the panels and their tools are out of the way. Use up.tool not your wand.

If you lay them down you will be doing alot of labor flipping
them over (each panel has 2 sides to clean) and  moving them
aside thats too much labor and time.

I charge $2.50 per side so thats $5 per panel.
Did 300 sides in Wauwatosa a few months ago.
2 men.. 1 TM. took 8hrs ..........
My porty was down and forgot my Y splitter for the TM pressure line
then it would of been about 4-5hrs.
