I own a portable with a shurflo 150psi and 2 stages vaccum, there is a weird burning smell coming out of the portable...

The pump is only one year old.
Any suggestions at what should I look at? is it the pump or motor?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

You may have burnt out a vac motor. Take it to an electrical repairer.
Dont treat people like customers. Treat them like friends.

Burning smell with a high pitch? Stern Smile
Your bearings fried in your vac motor. Shocked
It could be brushes but brushes last a long time.Approve
Never had brushed wear down before the bearings. Confused
It's always the bearings.Confused
Moisture dries up the bearing grease.Ahhhh!!
Replace with 3 stage. Break Dance

Hi,

The best you can do now if the vac machines smell burns, try to bring it in the repair shop  and let them check you vac motor so that they can fix it all....so,the damage will no longer become more complicated.....
